Lake Cathie

Lake Cathie is a small coastal village just north of Bonny Hills and 20 minutes drive south of Port Macquarie. The village comes under the control of Port Macquarie Hastings Council and is another gem in the areas crown. The lake is mostly open to the sea and provides family friendly picnic areas and safe swimming for small children. Fishing is another very popular past time with good catches of bream, whiting and flathead regularly reported from both beach and lake. The village is also home to the Lake Cathie Bowling Club that boasts three grass greens & regularly holds major competitions. The club also houses the Lakeview Bistro and is the perfect spot for a casual meal when visiting Lake Cathie. The area is extremely popular for family holidays & many locals use the lake surrounds as a family meeting place
